Alice's Rainbow is a non-profit, licensed childcare center serving the Iowa City Community since 1972. We are housed in two, formerly private homes located in a wooded area near UIHC and the Boyd Law Building. We are open year-round, closing for University of Iowa office holidays, spring break, one week during winter break and one teacher work day in late August.

We focus on child-led learning through play, encouraging and facilitating children's social emotional development as a base for academics. We have 5 yards for outside play, old house charm, and offer flexible part-time spots.

Our hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
